Lead and/or Facilitate planning, coordination and control of manufacturing processes. Ensure product and services are produced efficiently and that the correct amount is produced at the right cost and level of quality. Monitor key performance indicators for areas of responsibility. Address performance gaps with a Lean Manufacturing approach. 

Essential Responsibilities

Create and maintain a safety first culture. Ensure all health and safety guidelines/policies are followed and area personnel are actively engaged in all safety participation programs. Utilize Lean Manufacturing tools such as 5’s to ensure a safe working environment. Work with Facilities and Maintenance to correct any abnormalities to the standard.

Create and monitor quality standards. Drive root cause analysis and robust corrective action implementation using a systemic approach. Continuously monitor the manufacturing process for potential process improvement opportunities. Work with Quality organization to implement quality control programs. 

Understand and monitor capacities/demand. Ensure manning levels and required skillsets are available across all shifts to meet short and long-term demands. Identify manning capacity needs and work with Organizational Advancement to fill openings. Ensure training plans for each associate are created and maintained. Work with area leadership and Production Control to set production schedules. Track and monitor schedules on a weekly/daily/hourly cadence. Continuously monitor the production process and adjust schedules as required to meet customer needs.

Monitor area earnings and cost metrics. Track hourly/daily deviation to cost standards and drive root cause analysis and robust corrective action implementation. Identify productivity improvement opportunities and drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives such as Setup Reduction to reduce cost and make the process more efficient.

Coach, mentor and motivate area personnel to ensure a positive morale. Create an environment that encourages self-development through professional challenges and associate engagement. Monitor associate performance and ensure accountability is handled in a fair and consistent manner.

Technical/Functional Skills

Data Analysis, Project Management, Technical Writing, Problem Solving

Basic Qualifications

Minimum Associate Degree

Preferred Bachelor Degree in Business or Engineering

3-5 Years Experience in Manugacturing Supervision using Data Analysis, Project Management, Technical Writing, Problem Solving, and CoCommunication

2-4 Years Experience as a Manufacturing Manager ising Data Analysis, Project Management, Techinical Writing, and Problem Solving

Lean Manufacturing Certification Preferred
