Wazee Crane, a division of Timken Motor & Crane Services LLC, is seeking a dedicated, hard-working individual to fill a full-time, salaried role as a Crane Service & Field Installation Estimator/Coordinator. 

Job Summary:  The crane service and field installation estimator/coordinator will be responsible for preparing quotes and estimates for all crane services jobs, managing the installation and startup of crane systems and providing training to client personnel, and providing operational support for the Crane Service Manager.  This associate may also be required to perform field service work as directed by the company.

Work Performed:

  • Review crane service inspection reports and prepare quotes/estimates for noted deficiencies.  **This is a fast-paced environment.  Turnaround time from inspection report to quote in clients' hands is critical.
  • Work closely with the Production Manager, Engineering Manager, Service Manager, and client personnel to schedule and execute crane system installations.
  • Manage subcontractor activities and performance as required.  A key and critical task will be to ensure all subcontractor personnel perform work safely and consistent with Wazee and site specific requirements. 
  • Ensure that installation work performed by subcontractors meet all design requirements and is complete.
  • Visit sites in advance to verify site-specific attributes and requirements and incorporate those findings into estimates and installation planning.
  • Review actual job costs and confirm they conform to estimated cost basis.
  • Train personnel as necessary and maintain credentials as a certified trainer.
  • Setting up new jobs and entering parts demands.
  • Assisting service manager scheduling when needed.
  • Maintain vendor pricing documentation.
  • Research parts and vendors to obtain 'best pricing'.
  • Document all quotes using EPICOR ERP software.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and production departments where additional support may be required.
  • Review actual job costs and make appropriate adjustments to estimating methodology to improve accuracy.
  • Meet 'quote-on-time' standards.
  • Make recommendations to service management to improve quality, increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Perform a wide variety of duties to ensure all parts, materials, tooling, equipment and manpower are available for jobs and projects.
  • Be available for field crane service work or other duties as assigned.


  • High School diploma or equivalent (some college is a plus).
  • Manufacturer or OEM courses/seminars will be a plus.
  • Overhead crane service experience (10 years preferred).  This is a critical qualification in that it is essential for the estimator to understand labor requirements and the difficulties encountered in the course of repairing of overhead cranes.
  • Functionally proficient with MS Office applications (Word, Excel).
  • Operational knowledge of InspectAll software.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills (ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple and simultaneous tasks).
  • Scheduling experience is a plus.
  • Good customer service skills and professionalism at all times.
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
