Purpose/Responsibilities:

Intermediate maintenance position which performs a wide variety of operations associated with planned and unplanned maintenance, mechanical & electrical repair, and installation of all types of machinery and other special purpose equipment used in manufacturing precision bearing products in the Timken Keene plants. It's a job progression from Maint. Mech. Technician-I position.  

1. Perform Preventative and Predictive Maintenance on machinery and other plant support equipment.

2. Perform a wide variety of mechanical and electrical maintenance repair on machinery and other plant equipment.

3. Disassemble, repair, and reassemble a wide variety of machine components including PLC electrical devices.

4. Install, fabricate, and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, and coolant systems.

5. Work with engineering on machine improvements and upgrade projects.

6. Work breakdown: mechanical and electrical / electronic. 50/50

7. This individual may generate and/or handle regulated (i.e. hazardous/non-hazardous) waste as part of this job. This must be disposed of in accordance with federal/state regulations.     

Technical/Functional Skills:

Must meet all requirements specified in Maint. Mech. Technician-I role.     

Knowledge in complex electronic troubleshooting and electrical devices.     

3 to 8 years’ experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment.     

Knowledge and ability to weld. - Preferred    

Knowledge and understand in how to use vibration analysis tools. - Preferred     

Knowledge in TPM. - Preferred   

Basic Qualifications:

High School Graduate or Equivalent
