This postion will be responsible to manage customer engineering projects from start to finish working with our customers, sales, other engineers, and supply chain. Projects will include collecting information about the customers engine and drivetrain application, completing a TVA, designing a coupling, and developing the final proposed solution to sales and or customers.   

Essential Responsibilities

  • Engineering project management from start to finish
  • Regular communication with customers and sales about the status of open projects
  • Conducting technical meetings both via the phone and face to face with customers to understand their application and the overall design process of their application
  • Reviewing of TVA, FEA, conceptual and final designs
  • Develop proposals and customer reports outlining TCPs solutions for the customers application.
  • Drawing and design review of components, assemblies, checking fixtures, gages, tools, tooling, jigs, etc.
  • Visiting customer with sales on an add needed bases
  • Customer returned parts - QF08 / RGA inspections and communication
  • Assisting in new / prototype builds as required
  • Provide detailed project updates to management as necessary

Technical/Functional Skills

  • Understanding of engine and drivetrain design
  • Ability to understand customer application information
  • Ability to understand torsional vibration analyses and how to apply results to product design
  • Ability to process specific application information & provide technical solutions to customer needs through applied knowledge
  • Detailed component and assembly drawing review
  • General understanding of physical inspection equipment and processes
  • Supplier communication and professionalism
  • Customer communication and professionalism
  • Ability to manage, direct, and work alongside engineering, quality, and inspection personnel
  • Ability to work closely with sales, purchasing, production, general laborers

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 4-6 years of Mechanical Engineering with design focus
  • 0-2 years of general Engineering project management
  • Powertain system and component and/or rotor dynamic design
  • Understanding of project flow, communication skills, internal and external deliverables

Passport preferred.
