The Business Development Principal identifies new leads for expansion and develops new ways to grow the company in industrial distribution channels, primarily in the area of Powersports and HVAC.  The core duties are to develop, evaluate and design plans that help Timken Belts grow as well as identify new products, services and lines of businesses to increase and sustain that growth.  This associate represents and promotes Timken Belts brands with customers, at trade shows, relevant events and on social media.  This positions requires some weekend work (trade shows,special events, etc.) and frequent travel, up to 40%.

Essential Responsibilities;

  • Implement strategic plans that stimulate sales growth
  • Conduct competitive assessments with respect to competitor pricing policies, new products and marketing practices
  • Leads projects requiring coodination with other teams, functions and organizations
  • identifies need for and supports new product launches
  • Serves as a subject matter expert, maintaining knowledge of industry trends and translating information to positively impact the organization

Basic Qualifications: 

  • BS degree in business, marketing or similar discipline required
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in sales & marketing preferred
  • Previous experience in HVAC or Powersports markets helpful
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
