The position is essential to delivering our value proposition by understanding customer problems, gathering critical application information and working with TCP engineering to develop customized solution for both existing and new customers.  They will be responsible to service and grow our business with a diverse customer base of engine and gearbox distributors and packagers and a diverse range of off-highway OEMs. 


  • Deliver sales growth from both existing and new customer in target markets.
  • Have a strong understanding of key elements in the drivetrain to be able to effectively understand a diverse range of customer application.  This position will work between TCP engineering and customer to develop the right solution for the customers applications
  • Build relationships across the industry to be able to effectively uncover potential customer needs.
  • Manage all stages of converting new customer opportunities into sales, both internally and externally, from initiation through to launch. This included but is not limited to
    • Communicating the technical advantages of TCP product
    • Collecting detailed information about the customer application and communicating this TCP engineering the customers’ needs
    • Communicate how TCP product will solve the customer problem
    • Understand the customers willingness to pay and recommending target pricing
    • Negotiating T&C of the customer contract
  • Incumbent will be responsible for hitting their sales target while keeping within their cost budget.
  • Regular visits to customer at existing and potential customers to develop relationship and uncover new opportunities.  >50% travel.


  • Written and verbal fluency in English
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Engineering aptitude to understand and communicate effectively complex powertrain concepts and issues
  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts, as would be expected of a degreed mechanical engineer, as well do financial calculations, such as discounts, interest, margins and commissions
  • Ability to learn to effectively operate any company software, with training, as well as Microsoft Office
  • Effectively present information in a one-on-one and small group setting to customers and other employees
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; develop alternate solutions
  • Self-motivated and able to work autonomously with little direct guidance
  • Develop understanding of target markets and trends; assess likely impact on TCP business
  • Ability to think strategically and plan work effectively to maximize efficacy and impact


  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • 6-10 years' expeirence in developing new customers and opportunities with technical engineered products, preferably within off-highway powertrain field.
  • Valid driver's license with no restrictions
  • Passport Preferred
