This position provides the detail analysis as it relates to the executive Compensation team.The role will be responsible for researching, analyszing, and preparing data/ presentations which support decision making in the following primary areas:

  • Board of Directors – Compensation Committee Meetings
  • Strategy & Design projects around the enterprise’s compensation needs
  • Acquisition support (as needed in the due diligence and integration periods)
  • Leadership job evaluations    

Another key element of this role is the equity administration (e.g. stock options, restricted stock units) which involves day-to-day contact with members of senior leadership as well as overseeing the administration relationship with our equity vendor, Computershare.

  • Board of Directors – Compensation Committee:  Directly responsible for the preparation of the materials for the Compensation Committee meetings.
  • Equity Administration:  The go to person as it relates to overseeing equity grants, award communications, vesting communications and education matters with senior leadership around equity related matters.
  • Job Evaluation:  Part of the team providing evaluations for leadership roles.  In addition, will provide the input, support and coordination for any job evaluations which may be sent out externally for a review.
  • Strategic Projects:  Will work directly with the Manager of Executive Compensation on global projects which are strategic in nature within the compensation space.  This may range from something such as country specific market studies which have complex outcomes due to regulatory or cultural profiles and/or projects centering around enterprise wide studies on philosophical compensation changes and the impact it would have on Timken locations throughout the world.
  • Manage the vendor relationship for the non-qualified deferred compensation program.
  • Partner with outside vendors to participate in executive salary surveys.
  • Assist in the process of preparing the annual proxy CD&A and compensation tables.
  • Day-to-day Matters:  Various day-to-day matters in the executive compensation space will be under this role.

Note:  This role is to provide analytical, technical and intellectual support to the Manager of Executive Compensation. This role will contribute in the strategic space (25%) but, the majority of the role (75%) is focused on providing details and day-to-day support.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in HR Compensation, Accounting, Finance, or related field with a minimum of 2 years of work experience
  • CCP is not required, but would be a plus
