TMC Northeast is recruiting for a Senior Plant Accountant / Financial Analyst to help support the Financial/Accounting team for our Northeast Region.  Based out of our New Haven, Connecticut location,  the Senior Financial Analyst will provide general financial/accounting services for our facilities in New Haven (CT),  Augusta (ME), Portland (ME), and New Castle (DE).

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop, track and report annual financial Budget/Plan for multiple sites within TPS entities.

Develop, track and report TPS monthly Revenue, SGA, and EBIT Forecasts Provide automated TPS monthly financial reports for TPS management and Corporate Reporting.

Develop ad-hoc financial analyses Support organic expansions globally.

Support project financial analysis.

Conduct yearly physical inventory and asset inventory.

Assists with site payroll management; process payroll and related journal entries

Maintain the trial balance, including prepare month end accrual and reclassification journal entries, and prepare account analyses and reconciliations

Draft financial statements

Draft the budget; prepare periodic variance analyses

Update the business plan and financial forecasts

Write, review, revise, and maintain internal controls for financial compliance purposes

Performs post-job financial performance reviews and analyses

Performs other business-related activities as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline required.

At least five years of professional-level finance/accounting activities.  Additional experience beyond 5 years may substitute for the degree on a year-by-year basis or as appropriate.

Prior accounting experience must include knowledge or familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), ability to perform account reconciliations,  supporting multiple locations/business entities, and business/financial forecasting.

Must have advanced-level familiarity with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Must have expert-level familiarity with Excel, including the ability to create and manipulate v-Lookups, pivot tables/charts, and macros.

Must have prior experience with ERP software; EPICOR and HFM experience strongly preferred.

Must have prior experience using timekeeping software; KRONOS experience strongly preferred.

Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and organization.

Ability to work as part of a team and the ability to interact with internal support teams.

Strong verbal/written communications skills, including the abilty to explain complex technical/financial information or jargon to less-experienced internal or external customers.

Position supports multiple sites throughout the Northeast region; must be willing to travel (up to 15%).
