Purpose & Scope

Timken’s Regional Marketing teams deploy the strategies developed by our Global Marketing team into their perspective regions.  The group builds programs to support market initiatives and product launches.  The team communicates with customers and Timken sales teams to get the voice of the customer input in order to more effectively engage the market.  We also manage programs developed to support our distributor partners who help us reach fragmented customers and users in the market.  The portfolio of Timken products is expanding while the technology of how we and others do business is evolving. 

The Sr Regional Marketing Analyst is responsible for growth initiatives with a focus on creating, delivering and managing digital materials to our distributors such as high quality rich attribute data for our core products and confidential pricing data.  The person will work with our distributors to ensure that our content is deployed as directed on their own websites, not inappropriately comingled with data from other sources and kept confidential as required. 


  1. Drive ongoing project to create standardized ‘Rich Attribute Data’ for our core product offering.  The data includes engineering data, product images and marketing descriptions of features and benefits.  The information is vital to distributors as they build digital product information management systems to better serve changing buying behavior that are shifting toward E-Commerce.
  2. Oversee how products are coded within our distributors’ data systems to ensure Timken is properly displayed and interchanged with other brands as appropriate.  This work is required when Timken launches a new product to compete with an established brand or competitor.  Significant differences exist in the data management systems of our distributors. 
  3. Utilize fluency in various processes so that we can effectively launch new products more quickly across our distributor population.
  4. Data gathering via web scraping for purposes of marketing analysis.
  5. Create and deploy customer surveys, VOC, customer panels, etc.
  6. Contribute analysis support and expertise to customer segmentation work looking within our customer, distributor and end user populations for trends or behaviors that can translate into insights.


Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business with 4 years’ work experience in Data management, analytics, or channel management. Equivalent years of experience and education will be considered.  

Technical/Functional Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills and experience organizing data sets
  • Experience as a professional B2B marketer
  • Experience developing and deploying digital assets
  • Experience working with distribution channel partners
  • Experience in industries aligned with, or adjacent to, Timken’s markets
