This is a part-time position, 28 hours per week, during the Fall 2018 and Spring 2019 semesters.

The purpose of the Talent Acquisition Intern is to provide support for University Recruiting during the Fall 2018 and Spring 2019 recruiting cycles through planning and execution, special projects and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

The Talent Acquisition Intern will be responsible for the following:

  • Prepare and organize career fair/university registrations and travel (register for career fairs, information sessions, interview days, packing lists, etc.)
  • Pipeline candidates for career fairs (organizing resumes into categories, calling and emailing prospective candidates over summer months, etc.)
  • Research, design, and provide recommendations for diversity recruitment actions to support Timken's diversity and inclusion strategy
  • Assist in planning development program interview days
  • Enter and retrieve data in Timken's human resources information system (HRIS)
  • Analyze data using Excel to support recruiting strategy recommendations
  • Assist in various process documentation/process mapping projects
  • Be the primary point of contact for co-ops, interns and full-time entry level hire.
  • Plan and coordinate co-op and intern workshops and events (scheduling, presentation materials, attendance tracking, etc.)
  • Support vendor management activities

Basic Qualifications

The basic qualifications that candidates must possess to be considered for this position are as follows:

  • Currently enrolled in a college/university in an undergraduate or graduate program
  • Must be enrolled in one of the following majors: Human Resources, Business Administration/Management, or other related major
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
  • Experience serving in a leadership role(s) and working on team projects/activities
  • Demonstrated leadership in academic or extra-curricular activities
  • Demonstrated success in achieving goals
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate
  • Strong computer skills specifically experience with Access/Word/Excel/PowerPoint
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa Sponsorship
